At Integrated Communications, we understand that choosing a phone system can be very overwhelming. We are here to help and want to walk through the needed steps to pick a system that will help your business become more productive and grow with your needs in the future. There are several different types of telephone systems to choose from. The company size, expendable budget and desired features should all be considered in the decision process. Integrated Communications has strategically partnered with phone vendors to provide our clients with all the industry leading solutions as well as very unique applications for special needs. Just like everything in the technology industry, phone systems today are changing and evolving every day and becoming more integrated with a companies internal day to day operations.Features like call queuing, call reporting, contact integration, CRM software integration, and unified communications are now becoming normal product offerings with new systems today. There is also many forms of voice delivery that can work depending on the system you have. Type of Systems:- Analog Key Systems - Most common for a business with 15 or less employees. Usually include very basic features and functionality. This system utilizes analog lines.
Digital Key Systems - Most common for a business with 15+ employees. This system uses DS1 or PRI T-1's and gives a business the ability to have the capacity for a higher call volume as well as direct inward dialing ability for each employee. These systems typically have a larger feature set with some software integration. Premise Based IP Systems - These systems typically use a data connection to deliver voice packets over the internet. Most often the system or the carrier provide Quality of Service on that system to insure crisp clean voice calls. If the connection is not managed, there is a risk of poor call quality. These systems can be used in any size of business. These systems offer unique integration for multi-site businesses. Hosted IP Systems - Hosted Internet P systems are similar to premise based systems, but the actual brains or operating unit for the system is hosted at the carriers data center. Businesses often pay a per-user charge for these services. These types of systems offer many benefits for single and multi-site businesses. Their feature sets are often rich and they offer unique disaster recovery options for companies.
